Cellenis® Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a treatment that uses one's own body's ability to regenerate new blood vessels, tissue and collagen.
Growth factors which stimulate new blood vessels and new tissue are stored in our own blood platelets.
Using a centrifuge and a small sample of your own blood, the platelets are separated from the whole blood, and then re-injected into the area/s of concern.
Platelets then release growth factors into the areas where you need them.
Smaller quantities of your own stem cells are also injected, but importantly, growth factors in your PRP will attract stem cells from the surrounding tissue.
Stem cells take the form of the new tissue into which they have been attracted to.
Over the days and weeks following the Cellenis® PRP treatment, growth factors released by the platelets stimulate the growth of new blood vessels and more collagen growth, thickening the epidermis and providing an improvement in the skin’s texture and tone.
