Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Dermal filler is injected into the lips to define the lip borders and/or to increase volume to create a fuller appearance. We can inject as much or as little filler as the client requires to give a subtle or more dramatic result.

What is injected into the lips?

Dermal filler which is a naturally occurring hyaluronic acid gel.

What is the treatment process like?

Small quantities of filler into the border of the lips or body of the lip will be injected, depending on the desired effect. The process can be uncomfortable and topical local anaesthetic cream will be applied beforehand to reduce any pain experienced.

The whole treatment time will take approx. 30-45 minutes and results can be seen immediately.

How much does it cost?

0.5 ml - £120

0.7 ml - £150

1 ml - £170

A booking fee of 30% the total cost of the treatment is required upon booking to secure your appointment. This is deducted from the total cost of your treatment. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.

What is the result?

The shape and size of the lips can be enhanced either subtly or dramatically depending on the result the client desires. The borders of the lips can also be defined. An example of subtly volumised set of lips.

How long do the results last?

Approximately 6-9 months.

Will I receive a consultation?

Yes. Like all our treatments, Lip Augmentation will only take place after a full consultation with Ayumah our aesthetics nurse, during which we’ll discuss the results you’re looking for and any cautions and contraindications.

What are the risks in this treatment?

Like all injectable treatments, bruising, swelling, infection, vascular compromise and nerve damage are potential risks. An allergic reaction to the products used is also a potential risk, it is important for all clients to be open and honest before any treatment and follow the aftercare advice to minimise these risks.

When should I not have lip fillers?

Lip fillers are not suitable for anyone with severe allergies. You should not consider dermal fillers of any kind if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Any other potential issues will be covered in your consultation.
